Environmental Education Program
– City of Fillmore

In compliance with conditions imposed by the California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG) and the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), Envicom Corporation prepared an Environmental Education Training Program on behalf of a 170-acre residential project site located adjacent to the Santa Clara River in Fillmore, California. The Environmental Education Program consisted of a brief field orientation in which all onsite construction personnel were informed of the Do’s and Don’ts of the project site as they related to protection of sensitive biological resources. Materials presented included:

  • Double-sided sheets of summarized conditions for working on the site were provided to all attendees,
  • Full color 30 x 40 poster of sensitive species to be hung in construction trailers for easy viewing,
  • Full color 30x40 aerial photograph of the site identifying the potential locations of sensitive resources in relation to the proposed active work areas,
  • Butterfly Surveys;
  • Full color photo handouts identifying sensitive species likely to be found at the site.

Envicom Corporation maintained written records of all participants in the program and provided attendees with a card indicating successful completion of the program.
